The video for "Ring The Bells," a song created as a result of conversations and musical jam sessions between Melissa Etheridge & Salman Ahmad, is a recipient of this year's Common Ground Award.

The song blends rock music with sufi devotional singing, calling for unity and change in the world. The music video for "Ring The Bells" was produced by Participant Media, whose mission is to tell compelling, entertaining stories and create an awareness of the issues that shape our lives and then invite audiences to participate in making a difference.

Search for Common Ground is a Washington DC based organization that works internationally to help individuals, communities and countries find nonviolent ways to deal with conflict.
