Melissa Receives NMWA Award for Excellence in the Performing Arts

The National Museum of Women in the Arts held its 25th anniversary fall benefit in Washington D.C. on Nov 4. Melissa received their Award for Excellence in the Performing Arts, toured the Museum and played 4 songs: "The Weakness In Me," Come To My Window," "I Run For Life," and "Me And Bobby McGee."

Melissa & Linda in front of Melissa's favorite painting in the upstairs gallery: “To Kiss the Spirits: Now, This Is What It Is Really Like” is a 1993 painting by Hollis Sigler that expresses the artist’s fight with breast cancer.
